The Shanghai Jacket is a standout piece from the Shanghai Collection, drawing inspiration from classic Chinese Mandarin collar shirts. When creating this jacket, our goal was to preserve the traditional Chinese essence while integrating elements of French workwear. 

This design allows easy pairing with T-shirts, denim, shirts, and trousers, seamlessly blending into modern life. The relaxed and casual natural fabric and tailored silhouette complement each other to create a sense of relaxation and elegance. 

Introducing the first women's Shanghai Shirt Jacket by FICUS – a harmonious blend of traditional elegance and modern tailoring. Crafted from handwoven champagne satin, this piece exudes softness and sophistication, offering a luxurious feel against the skin. Designed with a feminine silhouette to enhance the figure, the jacket features delicate mint-green Chinese knot buttons along the placket. When layered beneath an overcoat, the subtle detail peeks through, adding a refined touch of Eastern charm to any ensemble.

The entire piece is handmade by traditional Shanghai tailors from our own workshop - Atelier 021, restoring the exquisite and classic style of the old Shanghainese.
